"Speaking Saturday at the Values Voters Summit, Rick Santorum said that “smart people” would never side with conservatives."

Republican Leader Finally Admits That Federal Spending Cuts Kill Jobs
"Earlier this week, Cantor was unable to name a single deal
Republicans would be willing to make to prevent the slew of cuts — cuts
that Cantor himself voted for. Plus, as the Bipartisan Policy Center
reports, the House Republican budget that Cantor supported cuts 'more than double the amount' of the sequester. This budget would sink domestic spending to its lowest level in 50 years. Meanwhile it prevents cuts to military spending already endorsed by military leaders."

Romney’s Insensitivity To LGBT People: ‘I Didn’t Know You Had Families’David Wilson and Julie Goodridge, two of the plaintiffs whose case led to the legalization of marriage equality in Massachusetts, described meeting with Romney to discuss their experiences. According to Wilson, “it was like talking to a robot. No expression, no feeling.” At one point, Romney remarked, “I didn’t know you had families.” David Wilson and Julie Goodridge, two of the plaintiffs whose case led to the legalization of marriage equality in Massachusetts, described meeting with Romney to discuss their experiences. Pat Robertson to humiliated hubby: ‘Well, you could become a Muslim and you could beat her’
"Reacting to a letter from a viewer who said he’s lost his self
confidence due to his wife insulting him, Robertson said Monday: 'Well,
you could become a Muslim and you could beat her.' He then turned to his
female co-host, who seemed to balk at the offhanded remark, and asked: 'You don’t want to go to Saudi Arabia?'”

Sen. Rand Paul embarrasses himself on TV, then makes it worse
"...the 143,000 number Paul quoted excludes federal postal workers. ThinkProgress
reports that if you include federal postal workers, federal employment
only went up by only 27,000 since December of 2008.
And, state and local budgets are deeply intertwined with federal spending. To exclude those numbers from the discussion is, well, disingenuous!"

On Solemn Anniversary, Dick Cheney Attacks Obama Over Bin Laden
"That Cheney would attempt to use intelligence briefings as a weapon to
attack President Obama — on September 11th, of all days — is especially
outrageous. As Kurt Eichenwald revealed in a New York Times
op-ed, the Bush White House received repeated briefings about an
imminent al Qaeda attack in the months leading up to September 11th,
culminating with the infamous memo titled 'Bin Laden Determined to
Strike in U.S.' Despite these increasingly alarmed warnings, Cheney and
his cohorts did nothing."

Poll: Bachmann in danger
"There’s been no other public polling of the district, though it’s
reasonable to assume that the Bachmann campaign has commissioned its own
surveys. The fact that none have been released suggests that Bachmann’s
numbers also do not bode well for her."
